6. Reconnect water supply: Open the shut-off valves or turn on the main water supply to restore water flow. Check for any leaks around the new spout connection. If you notice any leaks, tighten the connection slightly or apply additional plumber's tape.
7. Test the new spout: Turn on the water and test the new spout for proper functionality. Check for any leaks or drips around the connection points.
8. Clean up: Remove the towel or bucket used to catch any water and clean the area around the basin spout.
